During your vacation in Paignton, there are several attractions that would be very interesting for the whole family. Most of these attractions are near your Paignton holiday cottages making it very easy to explore these wonderful places on your own. Here are two of the interesting places you must enjoy with your family.

Local Coasts

England is not only rich in culture and tradition but in land and marine animals and creatures. In July 2009, the Local Coasts was opened to the public. This is a very interesting and unique indoor exhibit of marine wildlife. A huge collection of animals that can be found on the interesting England coastline are housed here. The Local Coast is designed to look very similar to a British pier underside. Tiny creatures like the cuttlefish, spiny starfish, seahorses, and mullet pipe fish are some of the displays that you can see at the Local Coasts. There is a very interesting feature of the place which allows you to crawl through a tank, see the amazing underwater world without getting wet or dirty. You’ll hear the waves crashing above you although it will never affect you. As you crawl through the tank, different species of plants and animals that can be found at the Paignton coast and the whole British coastline will be a very interesting sight to see. You can visit the Local Coasts anytime and then head back to your luxurious Paignton holiday cottages for a much needed rest. For group visits, you may want to call in advance from your Paignton holiday cottages to make advanced reservations.

Paignton Pier

If you have brought your pet with you during your Paignton holidays, you should make sure that your pet enjoys this vacation as much as you do. Besides getting one of the pet friendly Paignton holiday cottages, you must also bring him to the other places in town where pets are welcome. Paignton Pier is one great place where you and your dog can enjoy a relaxing walk along the pier that has a magnificent view of Torbay. There are attractions and game areas that will be enjoyed by both adults and children alike. There is the Mega Slide, Trampolines, Ten Pin Bowling, Orbiter Dodgems, and Crazy Golf. There are also several food kiosks and cafes where you can enjoy a nice meal or snack. You will see a fresh donut as well as a seafood kiosk for donut and seafood lovers. The pier was opened way back in 1879 and has witnessed a lot of the important events in the town’s history. Going to the pier is very easy from your nearby Paignton holiday cottages because it is located near the town centre and close to the bus station. You must bring your family and pet and enjoy some time out at the Paignton Pier.
